You want freedom from the trauma you’ve experienced.
You went through a traumatic experience and you haven’t been functioning the same since then.
You see yourself struggling more and more in your relationships, at your job, and in your day-to-day life.
You feel alone. You’re scared that you might feel this way forever.
You’re terrified that things might get worse.
You want to feel happy again and you want to break free from the cycle you find yourself in over and over again.
Did you know that your brain is designed to naturally heal itself? When you have a severe cut, you tend to the wound and put bandages on it, but, for the most part, it heals itself over time.
The brain does this too. Therapy and EMDR are the tools that help the brain engage in its natural ability to heal itself from trauma, abuse and difficult transitions. I have those exact tools to help you.
I help adults heal from their trauma and make big changes.
Hi there! I’m Sarah Mondragon, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I utilize EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Psychotherapy to help adults and college students heal from trauma, navigate challenging relational issues, and cope with depression and anxiety.
TRAUMA AND EMDR
I provide individual therapy for adults who have experienced trauma, abuse and loss. I utilize trauma-informed modalities, including EMDR, to help adults heal from traumatic events, memories or relationships.
COLLEGE STUDENTS
I provide individual therapy for college students who are struggling with depression, anxiety and ADHD. I help college students manage the significant changes and new experiences that are happening in college.
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR therapy is proven, through research, to be a successful treatment method for trauma and PTSD, as well as depression, anxiety disorders and addictions.
EMDR is a structured therapy in which you are led to focus on the traumatic memory for brief amounts of time while simultaneously engaging in bilateral eye movements to stimulate the brain to process the memory, thus reducing the emotion associated with the traumatic memory.
I am trained in EMDR therapy, and I can utilize this approach when treating trauma.
